Pegasus Cases
Scotland

Cases 1Pegasus has been building specialist cases for over thirty years. A Pegasus case is a musician's case, regarded by many as the best instrument cases you can buy. They are designed not only to protect valuable instruments, but to produce the most efficient and aesthetically pleasing case possible.

Pegasus cases are different in that we provide support along the full length of the instrument, including the headstock; this is unique in high-end cases. Internal upholstery is short-pile cotton velvet or an optional 100% wool tartan of your choice. All internal seams are hand-stitched and the best quality materials are used throughout.

Pegasus cases cannot be bought in a shop; each case is customised to order and designed to totally suit the needs of the customer and the instrument. This means that they're not cheap. We want to provide the best for the instrument concerned, and this takes time. Also, because we're a one-man shop, production is limited to around six cases a month.

Lately we have been working towards the ability to produce brand new designs with a quick turnaround using surfboard technology producing one-off designs to order. This means anybody can have a unique case for any instrument in a relatively short space of time. The first result of this development is a case for a compact classical guitar built in Germany - this will be launched at a guitar festival in Finland in July.

Other new models emerging in the next two months include a dedicated case for the instruments of Steven Owesley Smith in Hawaii and the only teardrop shaped cittern/bouzouki flight case currently available in the world.
